In addition to her private practice, Dr. Bizios ND has held positions as a health sciences professor at George Brown College, instructor at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition and the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. She has also served as a long standing faculty member at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, involved in guest lecturing, teaching and supervising fourth year student interns at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic.
Dr. Bizios ND has been a practicing Naturopathic Doctor since 2002. Although she continues to practice as a generalist, she sees an overwhelming majority of patients presenting with some type of hormonal imbalance. As a result, she offers natural health solutions for hormone related concerns. Many of her patients are under chronic stress and suffer from fatigue. They may also present with infertility, a thyroid disorder, adrenal dysfunction, insulin resistance, pre-diabetes, diabetes, andropause, menstrual complaints, peri-menopausal concerns, menopausal symptoms, weight gain, breast health concerns or polycystic ovarian syndrome.
Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Dr. Bizios ND obtained her Bachelor of Applied Science in 1998 specializing in Food and Nutrition. Her growing interest in human health and natural healing led her subsequently to pursue a career in Naturopathic Medicine. Dr. Bizios ND graduated in 2001 from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine as a Naturopathic Doctor.
During her fourth year internship, she attended Midwestern Regional Medical Centre – Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Chicago where she received specialized training in Naturopathic Oncology. Upon graduation, Dr. Bizios ND proceeded to broaden her clinical scope, and attended Harvard Medical School, receiving Clinical Training in Mind-Body Medicine with renowned Dr. Herbert Benson MD.
